How often should I tune my piano?
Depending on amount of use and household climate, home pianos played by family members can usually be tuned once a year in Colorado. An evaluation of the piano will be made at this time.
It's been a long time since my piano has been tuned. What is needed?
On occasion, a piano that has not been tuned in a number of years may need to be tuned twice during the first appointment. There is an additional $50 cost for this service. Mark will evaluate the piano and discuss this with you prior to doing the service.
How long does it take to tune a piano?
Plan for up to an hour and a half for your piano tuning appointment.
What service or tuning is needed after moving a piano?
A general rule of thumb is to have your piano tuned between two weeks to one month after a move to allow time for the piano to settle in to a new setting. If your piano will be coming from a climate or area of the country other than Colorado, we can discuss installing a humidifier system.
